This is a commitment across the network to fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and the RAP artwork is an important part of that story.

Elder Rights Australia (Victoria)
Helping Our Elders Lionel Rose - Kurnai/Gunditjmara
Helping Our Elders is a powerful visual representation of care, connection and cultural respect. At its heart, the piece features two hands—one older, one younger—joined in a gesture of respect, care and connection. This piece honours ERA’s role in creating safe, respectful spaces where older people are heard, valued and empowered. It is a celebration of community, culture and the shared responsibility we hold to uplift and support older people.

ADACAS (Australian Capital Territory)
Wings of Advocacy - by Sarah Richards
“Wings of Advocacy” serves as a representation of the values and purpose of ADACAS, conveyed through the interplay of colours and abstract symbolism. At its heart lies an abstract butterfly, embodying ADACAS itself. The butterfly’s body represents the dedicated staff who are the backbone of the organisation, while its wings symbolise the care, compassion, and unwavering support they offer to their clients.

Catholic Care Northern Territory
A Journey to Advocacy - Emma Hayes
On adjacent corners, there are two meeting circles which represent Aged Care Advocacy Services and Providers. These symbols represent the advocates who are guides to the journey being taken between clients and providers. All of the above elements are joined by the path of footsteps which curves from one side of the artwork to the other, a representation of the sharing of information. Bushfoods also link from one end of the path to the other, an indication of the unity between the program and culture of Aboriginal people.

ARAS (South Australia)
Walking with- Sasha Hill
The artwork reflects the ethos of ARAS and the belief that ‘we work with you; we listen to you and you make the decisions. The concentric circle in the middle with the U-shaped symbols shows people moving within, not being listened to or heard and the confused and frustrated state when you feel like you are going round and round in circles. The red ochres and greens represent the colours of the ARAS logo and the commitment that ARAS has to supporting First Nations peoples through valuing individuals; culture and identity.

Seniors Rights Service (New South Wales)
Gumbaynggirr - Donna Brown
The artwork in our RAP was created by Donna Brown, a Gumbaynggirr woman from NSW whose work appears in collections of the National Gallery of Victoria and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Donna created this original artwork in 2017 for Seniors Rights Service to use in publications which have an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander focus.
