Hear our voices: participating in aged care and reform
Older people are the experts on the aged care support they require and how it should be delivered.
Our panel will discuss how you can improve aged care through consumer advisory bodies that support and improve person-centred care. They will offer tips on how to impact and influence reform. They will also provide a deeper understanding of the new requirement for service providers to establish advisory groups by December 2023.
This webinar will explore:
- the role of advisory groups in aged care reforms
- how to have your voice heard
- how providers can engage with the people using their services
- lessons from those who have established advisory groups.
Hosted by Kyle Olsen, our panel includes:
- Tricia (Patricia) Parker, health consumer representative and carer
- Val Fell OAM, Aged Care Council of Elders member and dementia advocate
- Anna Millicer, founder, Smart Aged Care Consultancy
- Caryn Farber, Customer insights manager, Opal HealthCare
