Food consistently ranks in the top 5 presenting issues in residential aged care, according to our quarterly analyses of advocacy and information support. A 2023 Aged Care Quality Commission survey, based on hundreds of interviews conducted by OPAN advocates, identified choice, quality, quantity, timing and temperature as some of the key areas of concern.

Panellists include:

  • Maggie Beer, Board member and founder, Maggie Beer foundation
  • Jessica Zilujko, Director of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission’s Food, Nutrition and Dining Unit
  • Rosemary Seam, OPAN National Older Persons Reference Group member
  • Danijela Hlis, OPAN National Older Persons Reference Group member

Hosted by Craig Gear, CEO, OPAN
