Webinar – End of life: your choices
The new Aged Care Act recognises the right to quality palliative and end-of-life care. This ensures older people can make informed choices about their care and approach the end of life with dignity and support.
In OPAN’s upcoming webinar, our panel of experts will explore what quality end-of-life care looks like in practice – from planning and decision-making to palliative support and bereavement. They’ll discuss how the new Act strengthens older people’s rights, the roles of providers and advocates, and how families and carers can access information, services and support to ensure care aligns with a person’s wishes and values.
Panel:
- Dr Linda Swan, Chief Executive Officer, Go Gentle
- Camilla Rowland, Chief Executive Officer, Palliative Care Australia
- Helen Callanan, Founder & Director, Preparing the Way
- Hosted by Craig Gear, Chief Executive Officer, Older Persons Advocacy Network
