As someone who receives aged care services, you have a right to safe, high-quality care.
That right is enshrined in the Statement of Rights and the Aged Care Quality Standards – see below.
These two documents will help you to identify what safe, high-quality care looks like and whether your service provider is meeting your care requirements.
A Code of Conduct for Aged Care has also been introduced to improve the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life for people receiving aged care and to boost trust in services – see below.
